Staff Spotlight: Jason Suriano

Jason Suriano serves as the Director of AI & Data Services at Tantus, helping organizations make practical, informed decisions about artificial intelligence. A three-time Canadian tech founder and former Chief Product Officer, Jason brings hands-on experience building digital products and guiding teams from early ideas through development and adoption.

Jason has worked with AI since 2022, starting in OpenAI’s sandbox before the launch of ChatGPT. In his previous companies, Jason has built digital products for clients including Discovery Communications, Alberta Health Services, Bayer, Flair Airlines, Heidelberg Materials, the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary, and NAIT. In 2023, he launched Quickify, an AI platform that turned documents into interactive eLearning in seconds.

His expertise spans prompt engineering, large language model evaluation and testing, AI product and systems strategy, AI readiness assessments, and AI project recovery. At Tantus, Jason helps clients connect these capabilities to their organizational priorities, identify valuable opportunities, and bring AI into everyday work with appropriate governance and human oversight.
