On December 19, 2020, Tantus employees participated in the preparation and delivery of holiday hampers in support of JCI Edmonton.

For the sixth year in a row, Tantus employees committed to providing hampers for three large Edmonton families (8+ family members) in need this holiday season all while abiding by the safety guidelines and distancing measures in place. This year was obviously a little bit different and even more important due to COVID-19.  Our team was able to successfully deliver holiday hampers to three deserving families while ensuring our staff and all the family members were kept safe.

Yet again, the employee contribution was overwhelmingly generous. Employees filled the hampers with food items for holiday celebrations, gifts for each child and day to day staples (along with a few special extras, such as family games, gift cards and household supplies). If addition to the hamper items, Tantus made $4,250 in charitable donations to worthy causes in Edmonton including Zebra Child Protection Services, Santa’s Anonymous, and the Edmonton Christmas Bureau.

At Tantus, we are committed to investing in the communities we live and work in. We support local organizations and encourage our staff to pursue volunteer interests that matter to them. The JCI Edmonton Holiday Hamper Program is important to our employees and we will continue to support this worthy cause, along with other charitable work throughout the year.

We are very proud of the support our employees showed for local Edmonton families this holiday season. Thanks to their generosity, over 25 Edmontonians are enjoying the Christmas season with nutritious food, delicious treats and holiday gifts.

About the Holiday Hamper Program

Each year, a team of volunteers helps coordinate the Holiday Hamper Program in Edmonton. They partner with Edmonton Public and Catholic Schools, as well as the Christmas Bureau, to source families that are in need of support during the holiday season. In 2020, JCI Edmonton set a goal to provide over 1000 holiday hampers to Edmonton families in need.
