Join Us for a Great Cause!!!

Tantus is proud to sponsor and attend the 2nd annual Edmonton First Responders Rodeo in support of two great causes on July 13, 2019 at the Kinsmen Rodeo Grounds in St. Albert.  One of the benefactors is Legacy Place Society an organization that supports Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Services, 911 Dispatchers & Military Families.  The second benefactor is
the Zebra Child Protection Centre which is an organization that specializes in working with children who are also dealing with some traumatic incidents in their world.  The whole purpose of this event is for people to come out and see their First Responders competing in a fun atmosphere while still supporting these great causes.

Enjoy a full day of events for everyone big and small from tiny contestants competing in mutton busting to the bravest of our brave sitting at a table playing poker with a loose bull in the arena. With a kid’s area, food trucks, cold beverages and a barn dance to wrap up the day, you’ll certainly find this was worth your time in support of two great causes. Tantus will be sponsoring the Zebra Kid’s Corral so come by and say hello if you interested in a fun day of rodeo in support of a great cause! A Fun Event for a Great Cause!!!

On December 14 and 15, 2018, Tantus employees participated in the preparation and delivery of Holiday hampers in support of JCI Edmonton.

For the fourth year in a row, Tantus employees committed to providing hampers for three large Edmonton families (9+ family members) in need this holiday season. These families consisted of children ranging in age from 4 to 17 years old.

The employee contribution was overwhelmingly generous. Employees filled the hampers with food items for holiday celebrations, gifts for each child and day to day staples (along with a few special extras, such as family games, gift cards and household supplies).

Tantus employees delivered the hampers on December 15, 2018 and plan to deliver many more holiday hampers in years to come!

At Tantus, we are committed to investing in the communities we live and work in. We support local organizations and encourage our staff to pursue volunteer interests that matter to them. The JCI Edmonton Holiday Hamper Program is important to our employees and we will continue to support this worthy cause, along with other charitable work throughout the year.

We are very proud of the support our employees showed for local Edmonton families this holiday season. Thanks to their generosity, over 30 Edmontonians are enjoying the Christmas season with nutritious food, delicious treats and holiday gifts.

About the Holiday Hamper Program

In 2017, JCI Edmonton set a goal to provide 950 holiday hampers to Edmonton families in need. This year they increased that goal to over 1000 hampers due to the tough economic climate. They met their goal to match these families to individuals and corporations who would sponsor a hamper, however they are still in need of Turkey funds to meet their overall goal. Please consider contributing now – it’s not too late!

Tantus Spring Barbeque and Toy Drive

To kick off summer, Tantus hosted a barbeque for staff and clients on May 4, 2018. We took advantage of our new patio space to bring out the grill and welcome in the nice weather!

As a part of our ongoing commitment to the Zebra Centre in Edmonton, we used the barbeque to conduct a toy/gift drive for the Centre’s toy closet. Every child involved with Zebra chooses a gift from the toy closet and Zebra also provides backpacks, clothing and toiletries to kids as needed. Leading up to the barbeque, Tantus staff were gathering up toys, toiletries and other gifts to fill up Zebra’s toy closet.

A huge thank you goes out to our clients and staff that attended the BBQ and generously donated items to this worthy cause.

We got quite the haul, but we’re not done yet! Our staff will be continuing to collect toys and gifts throughout the summer, and we encourage everyone to do the same. If you are interested in making a toy/gift donation, preferred items can be found on the Zebra Donation Wish List https://www.zebracentre.ca/

As an Edmonton-based company, Tantus is committed to investing in the communities we live and work in. The Zebra Centre is a tremendous organization, and we look forward to supporting Zebra more in the future!

Holiday Cheer!!!!!

December 15 and 16, 2017 marked the third year of Tantus employees preparing and delivering Holiday Hampers to Edmonton families in need.

Through the JCI Edmonton Holiday Hamper program, we provided four hampers to families of 9+ members, increasing from three hampers the previous year.

In addition to the recommended food items, the hampers were filled with toys and gifts for children ranging from infants to teenagers, and included gift cards for each adult in the family to help with holiday extras.

Tantus employees gathered at the office on the 15th to wrap gifts and ensure every hamper had the needed food items.

Tantus “Golfs” for a Good Cause!!

On Monday, September 5, 2017 Tantus is co-hosting a fund raising client appreciation golf tournament along with Merit and SNS Technologists – two Edmonton-based companies that Tantus has had the pleasure of working with in the past.

As well as a client appreciation event, this tournament is being organized as a fund raiser with all proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC). RMHC provides the families of sick children with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital.

The tournament will be a shotgun start using best ball format at The Links at Spruce Grove featuring a variety of contests, as well as breakfast, lunch, a reception and a BBQ dinner. There are great giveaways and prizes for everyone, as well as a silent auction – all proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Check back on our website in mid-September for pictures and an update on the tournament winners as well as details of the funds raised for our charity.

ZooFest Fun For the Whole Family!

Last spring Tantus hosted an anniversary golf tournament, which included various fundraising activities with proceeds going to the Zebra Child Protection Centre. This year we had an opportunity to continue our support of Zebra and the critical work they do to ensure children in our communities are safe.

Tantus was pleased to provide corporate sponsorship for ZooFest, a major annual fundraiser for Zebra. In addition, Tantus contributed a silent auction item and purchased tickets for staff to attend the event.  ZooFest took place June 17, 2017 at the Edmonton Valley Zoo and Tantus staff enjoyed the family friendly event – including unlimited access to the zoo, food, drinks and both a live and silent auction.

Toy donations from Tantus staff for the month of June

Prior to Zoofest, a few Tantus staff also had the opportunity to tour the new Zebra Centre space and find out more about the services they offer and their needs.

As a result, Tantus staff have been gathering up toys, toiletries and other gifts over the month of June to fill up Zebra’s toy closet. Every child involved with Zebra chooses a gift from the toy closet and Zebra also provides backpacks, clothing and toiletries to kids as needed.

As an Edmonton-based company, Tantus is committed to investing in the communities we live and work in. ZooFest was an excellent event and the Zebra Centre is a very worthy cause. We look forward to supporting Zebra more in the future!

Tantus Team Gathers Donations for Fort McMurray

fortmac

Special thank you to Tantus employees for coordinating a collection for Fort McMurray residents who were forced to evacuate their homes last week.

The collection coincided with a Tantus company barbeque on May 10, 2016 where staff and guests gathered together. On short notice employees put a call out to their fellow function attendees to provide key items identified by Edmonton Emergency Relief Services Society as being needed to support the evacuees.

We encourage everyone to support fellow Albertans during this difficult time. For more information on donation needs and volunteer opportunities visit Edmonton Emergency Relief Services Society .

Tantus Enjoys a Visit from Infinite WOOF Animal Rescue Society

enroutePuppyWhen Tantus employees saw the opportunity to support Infinite WOOF Animal Rescue Society through the rescue’s collaboration with Uber on April 28, 2016, they couldn’t resist! Who could say no to these puppies?

Big thanks to Uber and Infinite WOOFS for bringing joy to the Tantus office with these little guys.

We highly recommend having puppies delivered to your office on a regular basis!

And thanks to our kindhearted employees for taking the opportunity to support a good cause!

Tantus Holiday Hamper Elves

This December, Tantus employees participated in the preparation of Holiday hampers in support of JCI Edmonton.

JCI Edmonton

JCI Edmonton set a goal to provide 800 hampers to Edmonton families in need this month and we are very happy to say that they achieved their goal!

Tantus employees committed to providing hampers for three Edmonton families in need this holiday season. These families consisted of children ranging in age from 1 year to 16 years old and each family had 8+ members. The hampers were filled with food items for holiday celebrations and day to day staples. In addition, the hampers included gifts for each family member.

Preparing Hampers!

In the spirit of the season, Tantus matched employee hamper contributions by providing additional goods for the hampers and donating funds to JCI Edmonton. JCI uses these funds to purchase turkeys which are then distributed with the hampers as the centre piece of the holiday meal!

Tantus employees were on hand on hamper delivery day (December 19, 2015) to ensure that our hampers made it safely to the doorsteps of their intended families.

The Tantus Hamper Delivery ElvesAt Tantus, we are committed to investing in the communities we live and work in. We feel strongly that our obligation as an employer and corporate citizen goes beyond our clients and our financial success. We are very proud of the generosity and support our employees showed for local Edmonton families this holiday season. Not only are our staff great to work with, they are truly great people!
