Jeff Young, President – Founder of Tantus, Jeff is a senior information technology professional and consultant with over 30 years of experience in the leadership and management of large, complex business initiatives and projects. Prior to founding Tantus, Jeff was a member of the management team of a large, international consulting organization responsible for business operations and development, portfolio management and the delivery of all projects. The experiences and the knowledge gained were fundamental in establishing the focus for our business strategy and continued growth. In his limited spare time, Jeff enjoys all sports – especially hockey and golf as well as woodworking and building furniture, but gladly puts those activities aside to spend time with his grandchildren when the opportunity presents.
Glenn De Roy, Chief Executive Officer – Glenn is an experienced IM/IT executive who has progressively held senior positions over a period of more than 35 years working in the industry. He has lead business units for a number of organizations as an executive and partner, with the most recent being TELUS Health prior to joining Tantus. Glenn has supported clients throughout North America in a number of consulting capacities, specializing in providing strategic planning and advisory services as well as program leadership for large and complex projects at the organizational, jurisdictional, provincial/state and national levels. Glenn likes to golf but never has enough time, and also loves fast cars, preferably with two seats and the top down…..!
Richard Farrell, Vice President – Richard is a senior information technology professional with over thirty years of experience in executive strategic planning and executive management. His work includes initiating and coordinating short and long range business objectives and monitoring standards of performance. Richard has spent the last eight years actively participating in the implementation of major corporate initiatives in the law enforcement community. Richard is an avid cyclist that rides 12 months a year!
Dave McGarva, MBA, CMC, Principal, Management Consulting – Dave has identified challenges, offered solid recommendations, and coached change in the areas of executive decision support, knowledge management, strategic planning, business process design, and performance management to both the public and private sectors. He has been the principal author of a wide variety of strategic plans and executive decision support documents in his consulting career which started in 1998. Dave also developed business cases that evaluated over $2 billion worth of decisions for public sector agencies. When away from the office, Dave’s life revolves around his very active son and daughter. Hockey, dance, lacrosse and basketball keep Dave’s and his wife, Joanne’s, driving skills finely honed – and gas stations in business!
Lyne Eaker, Principal, Justice and Enforcement Practice – Lyne has over 25 years of business IT consulting experience and the focus of his work in the last seven years has been in the justice and enforcement sector. Lyne’s wide breadth of experiences and his advocacy of a holistic project management approach that supports business needs by using technology and business process transformation while leading people through the change management activities are keys to the success of his projects. As the lead project manager, Lyne recently implemented a province-wide offender management system and is currently working on a number of 9-1-1 and policing-related projects. Lyne enjoys urban farming and animal husbandry. If he isn’t building something for the yard, house or one of the animals, then he is planning on it. Lyne is always looking for efficient ways to use technology to support day-to-day life and is now working on projects to integrate technology into the micro-environments he creates. Most recently Lyne has helped fund CHIP to support his own projects and has hopes that projects like this will help disadvantaged children gain access to technology.
Tony Schiebel, Principal, Professional Services – Tony is a senior business leader with over 25 years of consulting expertise. A proven leader, Tony leverages his diverse background by creating an open and collaborative environment. His ability to cultivate trusting relations and to always look out for the best interest of the client has earned him numerous accolades from colleagues within the industry. Tony’s community volunteering commitments provides him a unique perspective and insight into the Edmonton and Alberta marketplace. He strives to provide continuous improvement within the organization so that Tantus is well placed to provide the outstanding services at the optimal time.
Natalie La Belle, Director – Natalie brings over 15 years of experience in strategic and operational business transformation in a variety of settings including municipal government, academic medicine and telecommunications. Natalie is experienced in planning and implementing change efforts, particularly where process and technology improvements are required. In her off time, Natalie can be found cooking for friends and family, driving across the country or diving in the ocean.
Cathy Powley, Senior Consultant – Cathy is a senior technology professional with over 25 years of progressive experience. With over 15 years of project management experience, Cathy is experienced in estimating, planning, initiating and tracking projects of all sizes. She has played vital roles in the development and planning of many large multi-year projects for a number of organizations.
Tina Lund, Office Manager – Tina is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of office experience. Prior to joining Tantus Tina worked as an Administrative Officer with Alberta Justice and Solicitor General as Team Lead of the IT Admin Group. Currently as the office manager, Tina strives to continue to improve processes, develop procedures and ensure the company runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Aside from work, Tina trains at a local Taekwon-Do Club, where she is also a volunteer, and holds a position on the Executive Committee as Treasurer for the non-profit organization.
Delia Deng, Finance Administrator – Delia is a self-motivated, dedicated member of the team who has been with Tantus since 2011. She has enjoyed a continual expansion of her knowledge in the areas of office and business management. Prior to joining Tantus, she worked in a public practice in an administrative and accounting capacity. Delia was born and raised in ChongQing, China and moved to the Edmonton in 2003. She welcomed her first boy in 2014 and recently returned from maternity leave. Besides work, she enjoys spending time with her young family and is in the progress of pursuing her CPA designation.
Donna Coccimiglio, Recruiter – Donna is a Senior Human Resource professional with over 10 years of experience in talent acquisition, human resources, research, and strategic sourcing. Donna has spent the majority of her HR career recruiting in the IT sector. Donna is informed and well-versed in recognizing and sourcing top talent to successfully match specific client business needs and cultural fit. Her main focus with Tantus for the past 4 years has been staying up-to-date and current on client trends, market trends, industry data analysis and most importantly talent sourcing intelligence. As a recruiting strategist, Donna prides herself on her ability to build effective relationships with the IT professionals she works with. When recruiting top talent Donna’s philosophy is to look for the interest and passion a person brings beyond their experience and skills.
