2016 Holiday Hampers

Dave McGarva wrapping giftsOn December 16 and 17, our employees participated in the preparation and delivery of Holiday hampers in support of JCI Edmonton.

For the second year in a row, we committed to providing hampers for three large Edmonton families (9+ members) in need this holiday season. These families consisted of children ranging in age from 6 months to 16 years old.

The employee contribution was overwhelmingly generous and next year we anticipate on increasing sponsorship to provide for four large families.

team1We filled the hampers with food items for holiday celebrations, gifts for each child and everyday staples (along with a few special extras, such as family games, grocery gift cards and household supplies). In addition, Tantus as a company supported employee contributions by providing a gift for every adult and donating funds to JCI Edmonton to purchase turkeys.

We delivered the hampers on December 17, 2016 and look forward to delivering many more in years to come.

team2At Tantus, we are committed to investing in the communities we live and work in. We support local organizations and encourage our staff to pursue volunteer interests that matter to them. The JCI Edmonton Holiday Hamper Program is important to our employees and we will continue to support this worthy cause, along with other charitable work throughout the year.

We are very proud of the support our employees showed for local Edmonton families this holiday season. Thanks to their generosity, nearly 30 Edmontonians are enjoying the Christmas season with nutritious food, delicious treats and gifts.

About the Holiday Hamper Program

In 2015, JCI Edmonton set a goal to provide 800 holiday hampers to Edmonton families in need. This year they increased that goal to 850 hampers due to the difficult economic climate. They met their goal to match these 850 families to individuals and corporations who would sponsor a hamper, however they are still in need of Turkey funds to meet their overall goal. Please consider contributing now – it’s not too late!
