Tantus attended the Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA) Prairies Conference in 2016 again this year. This year’s conference was beautiful Kananaskis Country with it’s beautiful mountain vistas.  The theme was ‘#IT Happens’ and the workshops and sessions were well presented with excellent participation from attendees from across Western Canada.  It provided significant value to our colleagues in the municipal sector.  In addition, the Lodge at Kananaskis provided an excellent opportunity for the attendees to mix and network.

Tantus sponsored the conference again this year.  We also had a well attended session presented by Grant Gabert on ‘A Strategic Roadmap for GPS/AVL Data’.  He provided an engaging presentation based on project experiences in managing data collected from municipal vehicles.

In addition, our attendees also attended the 2016 Smart City Symposium at the Banff Centre. There was some busy travel down the Bow Valley parkway as we were able to participate in sessions at both of these excellent events.

Were looking forward to the 2017 MISA Prairies conference.
