Tantus Welcomes John Knapp!

We, atjknapp2 Tantus, are very pleased to announce the addition of John Knapp as an Associate to the firm! After a 36-year career with the Government of Alberta, John retired in 2013 to pursue his passion as an author, seminar leader, keynote speaker and professional coach.

His first book, The Leader’s Practice Guide, (http://www.friesenpress.com/bookstore/title/119734000013506061/John-Knapp-The-Leader%27s-Practice-Guide) has found a home across Canada and into the US and EU. He is currently penning a subsequent work, The Senior Leader’s and CEO’s Practice Guide.

 John will be affiliated with the Management Consulting practice and will continue to be available for speaking opportunities, leadership seminars and executive coaching assignments.

Tantus & Syscon Justice Systems Partnership

Tantus Solutions Group, Inc, a professional services firm, which among its practice areas specializes in Justice and Enforcement, announced this week that it has finalized a partnership with Syscon Justice Systems to work together on the implementation of their new WorkflowJAIL Jail Management System (JMS) at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Arizona, USA.

MCSO will be replacing their legacy detention systems with the new Syscon WorkflowJAIL System, maintaining a high safety standard for inmates, staff and the public by:

  • Providing new and enhanced business functionality
  • Providing a new level of configurability for jail management systems through the use of business process orchestration engines and business rules engines
  • Improving reporting capabilities and providing accurate statistical dashboards
  • Giving real-time access to information through reports, analysis and dashboards
  • Enhancing the ability to measure the effectiveness of strategies and tactics in a timely manner
  • Improving data collection
  • Providing support for mobile devices improving availability of key information
  • Streamlining processes
  • Interfacing with other systems to improve inter-agency information sharing
  • Empowering MCSO staff to maintain the system independently
  • Supporting expansion for years to come

The MCSO contract includes Syscon’s WorkflowJAIL Jail Management software, the migration of legacy data, interfaces with other systems, as well as the implementation services, training and support of the new system. Once deployed, Syscon’s WorkflowJAIL will be the source of inmate information throughout the MCSO, which includes eight facilities housing 9,000 inmates.
